REPLACE: verified quotation

A life in brief

Shri Bimal Prasad Jain founded the LPS Group and built it, over a working lifetime, into one of the region's respected industrial names. Those who worked with him remember a person of few words and exacting standards, whose interest in the people on his shop floor extended well beyond the factory gate.

He held a plain conviction: that industry owes its town more than employment. Training, opportunity and dignity had to be part of the exchange. Long before "skill development" became a national phrase, he was quietly funding apprenticeships and encouraging young people to learn a trade properly rather than partially.

His legacy

In 1991, his son Mr. Rajesh Jain, Managing Director of LPS Bossard Pvt. Ltd., established this Centre in his memory. The choice of a skill centre — rather than a memorial of any other kind — was deliberate. It is the form of remembrance he would have chosen himself.

Every student who walks out of here able to paint, cook, code a small robot, stitch a garment or hold an audience with a Kathak performance carries a small part of that legacy forward.
